Suzette Hammond

Suzette Hammond is the Training and Education Director for Adagio Teas, and spends each day happily "steeped" in tea and tea culture. She creates curriculum for both Adagio retail staff and customers. The most successful online tea company in the U.S., Adagio now has two retail stores in the Chicagoland area, and a third is opening this October. Prior to joining Adagio, Suzette was a seasoned trainer with Peet's Coffee and Tea and has many years of teaching experience in several unique markets - Portland, Boston, San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago.

Suzette is also a Board Member and certified Instructor for the Specialty Tea Institute, serving as Chair of the Education Committee. She is a Judge for the North American Tea Championship, an active participant with the Northwest Tea Festival and the World Tea Expo, and studies Japanese tea ceremony through the Urasenke Foundation. Suzette also won the first tea brewing contest in the United States - the Tea Infusion Challenge - held at the World Tea Expo.
