Tatsuo Tomeoka is the owner of two Seattle-based, Tea-related businesses; Charaku Fine Japanese Tea, and WaSabiDou Antiques & Folk Crafts. He imports and retails specialty Japanese tea which is shared with customers around the world. He also has a large collection of tea-related ceramics and crafts representing artisans from Japan and the United States. He has had a long and passionate relationship with Japanese Tea and with Folk Craft Theory; and has presented talks and tastings around the Pacific NW on Japanese Tea, Crafts, Art History, and Aesthetics.
He has also coordinated and produced a number of art, culture, and world music events in the Pacific Northwest and in Japan. H e holds a Japan Studies degree from the University of Washington's Jackson School of International Studies. He and his family currently divide their time between the beautiful cities of Seattle and Mount Vernon, Washington.
