Barnes & Watson Fine Teas -
Barnes & Watson Fine Teas is dedicated to providing the freshest
handcrafted teas for our customers. Each tea we import and blend is
cupped for quality and consistency in flavor at several stages before
leaving our facility. We sample teas from many estates around the world
to find a selection of teas offering the highest quality.
Barnes & Watson Fine Teas® has received many honors over the
past 18 years. These honors include 15 awards from the 2005 2009
World Tea Championships, with our 2009 entry, Golden Leaf Selections
Jade Oolong, taking FIRST PLACE, and in 2008, our Star Spangled Herbal
and Emerald Blossom teas both were rated in the top five. Our client
list includes hospitality clients such as the Tom Douglas Restaurants
in Seattle, The Fairmont in San Francisco, The Phoenician Resort in
Phoenix, and The Conrad Hilton in Chicago.
In addition to our second to none iced teas and loose leaf hot teas,
we offer a total of fifteen hot teas in tea bags. Each teabag will brew
a generous twelve-ounce cup of delicious hot tea. These teabags are
an unsurpassed offering of whole leaf tea in a teabag. Most teabags
contain fannings and dust, which do not yield the quality our brand
provides. We offer a full service Exper-teas iced tea program
with four iced tea flavors, equipment and service available to suit
your needs.

Kombucha Wonder Drink is more of an experience
than a beverage. Its unique flavor is meant to be savored, and its effervescent
bite tickles your throat, hinting that something magical is happening.
When you sip Kombucha Wonder Drink, a sense of well-being unfolds.
Kombuchas roots go back centuries. Wise men would descend from
high in the Himalayas to harvest spring tea in the valley below. According
to a formula passed down from generation to generation, the tea was
fermented to create an effervescent elixir said to restore health, promote
longevity and bestow mental clarity to all who drank it.*
Today, Kombucha Wonder Drink is made in the same way, only with an
added benefit: Each small batch goes through a proprietary process that
eliminates alcohol and unwanted bacteria. All thats left is pure
kombucha and the naturally occurring acids that give it its power.
There are eight varieties of Kombucha Wonder Drink, each made from
fresh-brewed organic teas and infused with organic fruit concentrates.

SA Japanese Green Tea -
The SÁ family of Japanese gourmet green tea products was launched
in 2008 to introduce consumers in the United States to authentic, exceptional-quality
Japanese green tea. SÁ green tea is distributed and marketed
by Sugimoto America, Inc.
"Our mission is to introduce an American audience to the fine
taste distinctions among gourmet green teas. Green tea of this caliber
adds to the daily experience of a quality lifestyle, much like a fine
wine does. Of course, we also want to spread the message about the health
benefits of green tea," said VP of Business Development Kyohei
Sugimoto, who runs the Seattle offices of Sugimoto America.

Snow Lotus fine Teas -
Snow Lotus Fine Teas is a new company that is eager to introduce high
quality loose leaf tea to the world. Each tea is carefully selected
for its unique flavor profile, but ultimately for its pleasurable experience.
We create a purist style of tea, incorporating no blends. A purist style
is present when nothing touches the tea but water no berries
or sweeteners just the simple, humble leaf.
Although most of our teas come from abroad, we are committed to helping
a growing American tea market. We currently have one tea from Washington
State on our menu and plan to procure several Hawaiian teas in the near
future. Our wish is to help cultivate an American tea culture. What
if we in America, have our own unique tea cups, tea houses, or tea ceremonies?
This is where history, architecture, art, and culture have the potential
to intersect to create something brand new. Snow Lotus Fine Teas is
working to begin this dialogue and to witness an emergence of a new
tea culture - the American tea culture.

The Jasmine Pearl -
Since 2004 we have been importing and handcrafting specialty loose-leaf
tea blends in Portland, Oregon. Our specialty is providing the highest
quality teas and herbal tisanes to gourmet retailers, restaurants, spas
and individuals. Most of our teas are harvested and blended in small
quantities, which allows us to share the freshest rare and seasonal
teas.
We have methodically tasted and studied thousands of different teas
in the last ten years, in search of the most delicious and interesting
examples available.
Every step of the way is taken with love and every blend we create
is done with heart. Each of our teas is packed with care and we believe
that our reverence to the art of tea and the cultures each tea represents,
infuses them with a little something extra.
- We will be hosting local tea farmer Richard Sakuma from Sakuma Teas,
and visitors to our booth will be able to sample teas (camellia sinensis)
grown in the Skagit Valley.
- We will also be sampling Wagashi (traditional Japanese tea sweets)
from Portland-based Yume Confections. People will be able to meet
Gena Renaud, the confectioner behind the sweets.
- Portland-based potter Richard Brandt will be featuring some of his
gorgeous hand-thrown gong-fu pots and Japanese tea ceremony bowls.
He will also be available to talk with guests about how he crafts
traditional types of teaware.
Our hope is to provide an opportunity for you to sit and enjoy your
own personal retreat - a ritual of simplicity, intention, and taste.

Silk Road Teas -
We have been procuring single-source, handmade specialty teas in China
for over 16 years. Through our long-standing supplier relationships,
we have access to some of China's finest and most unusual teas, offering
our retail and wholesale customers a complete line of full-leaf varieties
in white, green, Oolong, black and Pu-erh teas.
Each year, we travel extensively in the provinces, visiting small farms,
out-of-the-way markets and specialty tea companies to find teas that
offer our customers a distinctive taste experience. We buy many of our
teas in early spring when the leaves are fresh, tender and their tastes
most pronounced. As a result, our company is widely recognized for the
variety and unparalleled quality of its teas.
At the festival, we will be proudly sampling a few special lots of
artisan "fresh teas". These are handcrafted teas made according to local
customs. Minimally processed, they rely on the tea's natural tastes
and are usually consumed immediately and, for the most part, rarely
exported. And their tastes are exquisite!
These are teas are grown on small tea farms. They are not to be confused
with "new" harvest teas. The leaves are gathered before the spring rains
have swollen their leaves and softened their tastes. Plucked in the
early morning hours, the natural fragrance of the leaves are at their
highest. Sample these fine teas in the Tea Tasting Booths - see the
program schedule for more details.

Hallava Falafel came to be in July of
2006. The mission was to create reasonably priced high quality falafel,
like that found in Israel and Lebanon and Spain to name a few. The finer
points of falafel are often overlooked in Seattle. Our falafel is awesome,
but it is not 'our own take on it', nor is it 'untraditional' nor 'Americanised'.
Hallava Falafel is not a middle eastern, nor Mediterranean food truck.
More accurately it would be described as a Russo-Turkic truck. Most
of our recipes, not to mention our brand of customer service come from
the Motherland and Central Asia.
You can find us at 5825 Airport Way South, Seattle, WA 98108
