Kiyomi Koike is a Japanese immigrant, living in the rural countryside of Oregon. Her tea journey began when her second child was born, and her husband was diagnosed with cancer. With her 3-year-old's gentle pat on her shoulder, she came out of depression and started her intensive research on green tea to help her husband, which led her to found SEI MEE TEA (‘say-me’). Since the tea she now sells helped her husband to become a cancer survivor, she is grateful for each day and now offers a variety of healthy, tasty, quality teas. Her effort to spread tea benefits includes offering unconventional ways to enjoy green tea in a social setting.
