Pelin Aylangan

Pelin Aylangan is a Turkish-American living in Seattle. She has been researching Turkey’s tea culture since 2003 and is working on a book, “Tea Leaves, Tea Lives” due for publication in 2024. Her speaking engagements have included: - Smithsonian Associates - Meridian International Center - Culinary Historians of Washington DC - Ritz Carlton Washington DC She was featured in the December 2003 issue of National Geographic in an article on tea in Turkey, and has had articles published in TEA: A MAGAZINE (Autumn 2004) and the Turkish culinary magazine Yemek ve Kultur (Spring 2006). She served as the President of the American-Turkish Association (ATA-DC) of Washington DC, a non-profit cultural organization and as Secretary General of the Assembly of Turkish-American Associations. She holds a B.A. Degree in Economics and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
